First and foremost this week, I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to the people of Boston.
The despicable and senseless acts which led to the deaths of three people and injuries of more than 180 during the Boston Marathon on Monday should have no place in our nation or our collective consciousness. Terror is not a part of our DNA as Americans, and it never will be. What we are, however, is resilient. We unite in times of greatest need, and we come back stronger than before. As all of the people and families impacted by this tragedy begin their healing process, we will continue to remember and honor them, as well as the bravery and compassion of the many strangers who saw a need – and stepped in to help
