Morial sent a letter to the full U.S. Senate urging they all oppose the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, commonly known as the “Bank Lobbyist Act.” This bill would place low-income and borrowers of color at risk of falling prey to the same unscrupulous lending practices that caused the great recession by exempting large banks from key consumer protections implemented under the Dodd-Frank financial reform law.
